Anuraag’s path to his destiny, music, was steered by his deeply musical family, who imbibed in him the love for music from a very early age. His family guided him on the beautiful path of both Indian classical music and Assamese folk music. Anuraag was formally educated in Western Classical music by Syed Sadullah who also taught him to play piano and guitar. He then continued his Indian classical music studies under the guidance of Pt. Karuna Shankar Thakuria.
Anuraag has composed and arranged music for various projects, including his very own album “Tup Tup” which won him the “Best Music Producer” 2011 award from Big 92.7 FM.
In the year 2010, Anuraag attended Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music in Chennai, and his thirst for learning more about music was assuaged by the world class faculty. His experience at the academy allowed him to incorporate new ideas and creative elements into his upcoming film and recording projects. Recognizing his extraordinary musical sense and passion he was awarded “Student Ambassador” award by Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music.
Anuraag currently owns a full fledged audio workstation in Mumbai, where he immerses himself in the never ending quest called Music. And thus, the journey continues…
