David AndersonDavid Anderson began playing drums at the age of 7 under guidance from his brother, a professional drummer in Chicago. After moving to Oklahoma, he played his professional gig at the age of 14 with a local R&B band and since then, has never looked back. At a local jazz club he met Lee Rucker, the Head of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma and he offered David a full scholarship to study the next five years at the University’s jazz program. He eventually moved to Los Angeles.David’s versatility across Jazz, Rock, Funk, Fusion and many other styles combined with his world class chops on the drums led him to become of the most in-demand drummers in the business. David has performed, recorded and toured the world with some of the biggest names in the music industry across many genres of music including Chaka Khan, Larry Carlton, Stanley Clarke, Dionne Warwick, David Benoit, Tom Scott, Hubert Laws, Clark Terry, The Rippingtons, Eddie Harris, Bill Watrous and several others

David has made television appearances on FOX’s “Melrose Place”, BET’s “Jazz Central”, VH1, CNN’s “Showbiz Today” and NBC’s “Watching Ellie”. David is a passionate teacher and is highly sought after for drum clinics, workshops and master classes around the world. His endorsements include Vic Firth sticks and Paiste Cymbals.
