Production skills are vital for musicians today, and while composition and performance remain at the core of music, you still need your music to sound good to make a real impression. This course at SAM will put your production skills on par with international standards.
What you can expect
A complete package. You will be coached through the entire production process, from acoustics, miking and recording to post production, audio mangling, mixing and mastering.
The best of digital and analog. You will have hands-on studio experience with some of the most modern digital gear and plugins as well as boutique analog hardware such as
- TOFT 32 Channel Analog Mixing Console
- UAD Apollo 16 with every single Universal Audio plugin
- 27” Slate Raven MTi touch screen controller
- Joe Meek analog channel strip with analog compressors and EQ
- Fractal Audio Systems Axe-FX II

You will be taught how to use multiple DAWs, how to streamline your workflow, and critically, learn how to listen, so that no matter which studio you go into, and what quality of gear you’re using, you can make your music sound on par with the best in the world.
