Ed Degenaro


Multi-Platinum certified Ed DeGenaro has worked on “both sides of the glass” for the last 30 years.

Besides his experience as a well known Fusion guitarist, staff composer at Warner Chapell and recording artist for EMI, Atlantic and Atco records, he has extensive experience in the studio as a musician and recording engineer tracking, mixing and mastering music in studios across Germany, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Netherlands, UK, Scandinavia and India.
He learnt his craft on analog consoles and tape machines in rooms such as Ocean Way, Record Plant, Amigo, The Enterprise in LA, Electric Ladyland, Avatar in NYC, Music Land Studios in Munich, Emi Studios Cologne, Bad Animals in Seattle etc by working with producers such as Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, Who, Santana, Frank Zappa, Darkness, Cars), Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix Rolling Stones, Beatles,Robin Trower, Led Zeppelin, Anthrax), Reinhold Mack (Scorpions, Rainbow, Deep Purple White Snake, Queen), Andy Johns (Van Halen), Michael Wagnener (Extreme, Accept, White Lion, Skid Row), Brian Carlstrom (Offspring, Alice In Chains) and others.

Over a decade ago after a few years on digital tape he started to diversify into DAWs. He is well versed with Protools 11, Logic X, Samplitude/Sequoia 12, Nuendo 6, Cubase 7 and more.

He has been a design consultant for hardware companies such as Universal Audio, VHT, Radial Engineering, Telefunken, Line 6, Fractal Audio, Moog,Telefunken, Emma Electronics as well as software companies as RADAR, Algorithmix, eMagic, Magix, Propellerhead and IK Multimedia.
While at THD Electronics, he was the gear adviser for the likes of Alan Holdsworth, Shawn Lane, Jeff Baxter, Ray Gomez, Dweezil Zappa, Scott Henderson, Metallica, Blue Oyster Cult, Audio Slave, Wayne Krantz, Aerosmith, Rick Derringer, Chris Poland, Dean Parks, Black Crowes, Vernon Reid (Living Color), keith Richards (Rolling Stones), Anthrax. Prince, Paul Jackson Jr, Eddie Van Halen and others.

For live sound/recording he has set-up/run/and trouble shot the Nuendo/FOH rig for Bob Dylan tours. He also has worked on various sound design, score and movie soundtracks from independent releases to big budget Hollywood films such as Hancock starring Will Smith.
