The SAM-AIM Credit Transfer Programme

As a SAM student, you have the unique opportunity to leverage our affiliation with AIM. Upon successful completion of your diploma program at SAM, you can seamlessly transfer credits to pursue a 3-year bachelor’s degree in music, at AIM. This streamlined transition not only saves you valuable time but also grants you access to AIM’s exceptional resources and faculty. The SAM-AIM credit-transfer breakdown is as follows:

  • Certificate in Music Performance (CMP): CMP students will receive 18 credit points of RPL (recognition of prior learning) plus guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Music programme.
  • Diploma in Music Performance (DMP): DMP students will receive 36 credit points of RPL (recognition of prior learning) plus guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Music programme.
  • Advanced Diploma in Music Performance (ADMP): ADMP students will receive 60 credit points of RPL (recognition of prior learning) plus guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Music programme.
  • Diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Technology (DAEMT): DAEMT students will receive 24 credit points of RPL (recognition of prior learning) plus guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Music (Creative Technology) programme.

Note: Students will need to provide video evidence of performance capability in alignment with AIM’s minimum audition requirements.
