Sambatti started to play his bass when he was nine years old playing with regional artists, churches and others. Sambatti moved to São Paulo city where met tone of the greatest bass players, Celso Pixinga, and started studying with him, focusing on instrumental music such as: jazz and own compositions. In 2006 Sambatti was revealed as one of the seven newest talented bass players in Brazil according to the IBT BASS FESTIVAL in São Paulo during a special edition.
Sambatti has worked at many studios in São Paulo, teaching private classes on how to play the bass and how to create your own ideas. Sambatti worked for some schools of music such as: Lado B (SP), Conservatory of music in Guarulhos ( SP) and, recently, taught students at a very important school named ANGLO telling them “ the bass history” , in this class the students picked up the bass and started playing a song by Linkin Park.
The idea was that everyone is capable of playing the bass even if they have not played the bass before! Talking about his style on the bass, his performances include improvisation and a very hard groove in the bass! He Always tries to show the bassists that we need to be ready to play any kind of style if we want to make a living doing music!
Owner of a very particular style of playing the bass” according to the brazilian bass magazine called COVERBAIXO, Adriano Sambatti has already played and shared the stage with very importants names from the instrumental music in Brazil such as: Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth), Celso Pixinga, Douglas Las Casas (recorded his last album on bass), James Miller, Eduardo Machado (special edition of IGT bass clinic) , Alain Caron (at the La Bella strings festival), 3 de Paus, Téo Dornellas, Mozart Mello, Thiago Espirito Santo and others. Recently Sambatti was invited to record the last album of the guitarist Ed Roque (Los Angeles) in which shared the basslines with Billy Sheeham and Stuart Hamn.
Now he plays with his fusion trio (Tarja Preta) and recorded a new album. He also works as a bassist and backing vocalist of a famous singer in Brazil (Roberta Miranda) and regional artists and also conducts workshops related to the instrument.
