Harini Iyer, a vocalist based in Chennai, India, boasts over a decade of rigorous training in Carnatic Vocals under the guidance of Smt. Akhila Siva. She has also received instruction in Jazz Vocals from the renowned Lisa Thorson. Harini’s musical journey includes studies at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. She contributed to a Grammy-nominated album titled “Shuruaat” with the Berklee Indian Ensemble.

 

As a performer, Harini has shared stages with notable artists such as Shreya Ghoshal (2018), Vadim Neselovskyi (2018), Tigran Hamasyan, 10-time Latin Grammy-Winner Javier Limon (2018), Flamenco percussionist Israel ‘Pirana’ Suarez (2018), and Paul Winter (2018) at the Berklee Performance Center. She also brings extensive teaching experience, having taught voice as an instrument at esteemed institutions like Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Kathmandu (2019); Taaqademy, Bangalore (2019); and Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Chennai (2021).

 

With her rich multicultural background and expertise as a musician, Harini’s workshop promises a global approach to regional music.
