Natalia Kordiak is a multifaceted artist renowned for her prowess as a singer, improviser, and composer. Grounded in the world of improvisation, she articulates a distinctive musical language, emphasizing the significance of authentic dialogue, presence, and the creation of a space where rationality and spontaneity seamlessly merge, transforming reality into an abstract experience. Notably, Kordiak views her voice not merely as a vehicle for singing but as an instrument, employing diverse means of expression.

In 2018, Kordiak founded the Natalia Kordiak Quintet, collaborating with Alan Wykpisz, Mateusz Kołakowski, Przemysław Chmiel, and Grzegorz Pałka. Together, they weave intricate musical narratives that have garnered international acclaim. The debut album, “BAJKA,” received positive reviews from music critics and swiftly earned a place among the distinguished jazz albums of 2019. Kordiak’s talent was further recognized as she secured the Grand Prix at the Voicingers 2018 International Jazz Contest for Singing Musicians.

Since 2022, she has co-founded the band TANŌK alongside Ukrainian jazz pianist Kateryna Ziabliuk. In 2023, Kordiak released her second album, “YTINAMUH” (Humanity), published under Maciej Karłowski’s FSR label, acknowledged by The New York City Jazz Records as the “Label of the Year,” sharing this honor with esteemed labels like Clean Feed, ECM, Rouge Art, and Tzadik.

Kordiak’s commitment extends beyond her artistic endeavors. She has established a longstanding collaboration with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, where she actively engages in educational jazz concerts for children and youth. Additionally, she serves as the coordinator for the Polish edition of the Voicingers festival in Żory. In 2021, Kordiak organized the international Jazzbus Showcase in collaboration with the Voicingers festival and the Slovak label Hevhetia.
