Vishnu Reddy

Vishnu Reddy is a drummer from Chennai, India. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has learned under virtuoso drummers such as Dave DiCenso, Ralph Peterson, Phil Maturano, Henrique de Almeida, James Murphy and many more.

Vishnu currently plays for the India-based bands Godless and Maneating Orchid as well as the USA based Dapper Duck and has toured both countries multiple times. He has also filled in as a session drummer for stellar east coast metal acts such as Cognitive, Today Is The Day, Myth of I, Pathogenic, Graveborn, Begat The Nephilim, Wake Of Sirens and Circuitry.

Apart from performance, Vishnu has a strong passion for sharing his knowledge and experience through music education and has held many drum clinics over the course of his journey including clinics in renowned institutions like IIT (IND) and MIT(USA). Though his primary focus of genre is metal, Vishnu takes influences from a wide range of musical styles including jazz, fusion, Carnatic, gospel and hip hop among many others and is currently in the process of writing a book about transcending the boundaries of genre and finding one’s own unique voice behind the drum kit.
